What is Agricultural Control?
Conceptually, agricultural
control is concerned with generating outputs to the actuators to perform
appropriate tasks. A greenhouse
controller is depicted below. Here,
based on the current state of the inputs, a decision maker must activate the
various outputs. How and when to
activate the outputs from the given inputs follows the knowledge of the
decision maker.

Here, the decision maker may be
a human, turning the outputs on or off based on his readings of the inputs and
his experience as a grower. The
iNetGrow system provides the means to perform the control tasks in a variety of
modes.
