Setup Network

This dialog is part of the “Expert Panel” dialog. It provides a concise set of controls to configure the list of controller, individual controllers, and input/output modules.

The dialog is arranged in two groups. The “List of Controllers” group allows you to manage the list used at the PC.

The buttons of the “List of Controllers” group are explained below.

Add

This button opens the “Add Controller” dialog. This allows you to add a controller to the list either by specifying its IP address or URL.

Remove

This button removes the selected controller or controllers from the list. You may hold the shift key down while clicking on the controllers in the list to select a range, or hold the control key to select multiple items in the list, not necessarily adjacent to one another.

Scan

This button also adds controllers to the list. It invokes the “Scan Network” dialog. There you may scan the LAN for one or more controllers. All controllers scanned are added to the “List of Controllers.”

Read from File

If you have previously saved a list of controllers in a file, you may open the file and add the controllers to the current list by clicking this button.

Save to File

Once you have a list of controllers, you may save the list on disk by clicking on this button. You will be prompted for a file name.
