Process ADVANCED View Dialog

This dialog displays the parameters used by the script.  The script performs the automated tasks (see the section titled “Programming”).  The parameters may be used to implement a high-level interface to the controller processes.  These may be accomplished through the iNetGrow software, or through a web browser.  See the sections “Automated Tasks” and “Manual Triggers” for further information.

This dialog is by clicking on the “Advanced” button in the “Process View Dialog.”  It shows the parameters associated with the controller currently selected in the Process View Dialog.

Modifying the Parameter Values

A grid shows the parameter names and their values.  The current values of the parameters are shown in decimal as well as hexadecimal format.  The parameter values in decimal are editable.  Click inside the cell to activate the edit mode.  Once active, the new value may be input.  You may input hexadecimal values by using a preceding ‘0x’ when needed.  For example, type

0x12

for the hexadecimal value 12h, which is also the decimal value 18.  In case there is no ambiguity, you may simply type in the hexadecimal value without the ‘0x’ prefix.  For instance, the value

FE

Will be interpreted as the hexadecimal value 0xFE or FEh (254 in decimal).

Click “OK” to accept the changes and return to the parent dialog.  Click “Cancel” to close the dialog without changing the parameters.

Backups

You may save the parameter values to a file, or read them from a file.  The backup feature is especially convenient when a large number of parameters, e.g. set points, are to be switched.  You may keep several files of parameter values, say for different seasons, and swap these values in one fell swoop.

Clicking “Save” or “Open” asks for a file name.  By default, the parameters are stored with the “ibf” extension.  However, backup files are simple ASCII text files.  Each parameter and associated value is written on a separate line.  These files are editable with a simple text editor such as the Windows Notepad.
