Configure Log
The “Configure Log” dialog has
two main functions: select the variables to be logged by the controller and to
set the log interval.
This dialog is always invoked
from a parent dialog. The controller
is determined by the parent dialog.
For example, the Setup Wizard asks you
to select a controller before this dialog is displayed.
The dialog shows a list of
modules and their named variables.
Naming the variables is a key concept of the
iNetGrow system (also see the section “Named Variables”).
Double-click on the variable
names in the list to turn logging on or off.
The log interval is selected by
a drop-down list on the left top corner of the dialog. You may also select to stop data
logging. In this case, the
controller keeps the list of variables to be logged. You may, at a future time, select a different logging
interval.
The button “Refresh” rebuilds
the list. In some cases, a module
may be busy collecting data or setting outputs. In this case, the ““Refresh” button is useful to poll the modules
again and build the list.
Each controller has a
battery-backed clock and calendar.
The controller uses the time kept by this clock is to determine the log
times. You may set the controller
clock to the PC time y clicking on the button “Set to PC time.”
