iNetGrow's Design Philosophy
The iNetGrow System was conceived and designed to offer affordable, high-tech control for agricultural applications. iNetGrow does this by combining exsiting technology used in industrial control, Internet communications, and PC software. iNetGrow uses a distributed system which is scalable, flexible, and extensible. iNetGrow takes advantage of the Internet for communication. iNetGrow uses the PC for the iNetGrow Software user interface, web pages, e-mails, and data logging.

iNetGrow employs a distributed architecture, which has been used in industrial automation for years. Distributed control improves reliability, reduces cost, and allows for many different system configurations using the same components.

iNetGrow is scalable. This means that you can custom tailor iNetGrow to your application. Buy only the components you need to control your system. You don't need to buy more power than you can use, just to get the features you need.

An iNetGrow System is designed to be completely flexible. Controllers and I/O modules may be freely interchanged and reprogrammed as your system requirements change.

The iNetGrow System is designed to be extensible. iNetGrow will grow and expand as technology changes and new things become available.

iNetGrow uses low-cost off-the-shelf PCs for the user interface rather than proprietary high-cost keypads or LCD screens. PC interfaces make it possible to add many user-friendly features, which are not available with keypads and LCD screens.

The iNetGrow Controllers are networked through the local area network (LAN) over Ethernet. Ethernet LAN equipment, such as switches, wireless access points, and cabling, are among the most readily available and cost-effective in the history of networking.

Sophisticated and free, iNetGrow Software complements the hardware in an easy-to-use environment with capabilities typically found in high-priced systems. Just like the hardware, iNetGrow Software is modular and distributed (more information, screen shots.)
