Remote Input/Output Dialog
This is the root screen in most
instances. It displays the current
data at each controller on the LAN as a separate tab. You may change the values of the outputs by double-clicking
inside the list.
A separate tab immediately above
the main window displays the controllers in the list of controllers. Select a controller by clicking on its
tab. The main window lists the
modules connected to the selected controller. Under each module, a list of the current values of the
inputs and outputs is displayed.
This dialog also provides
shortcuts to several configuration options through a context menu. Right click inside the list to invoke
the context menu. Through the menu
commands, you may configure the modules of the controller, change the outputs,
or configure the controller.
Also see: Setup Wizard.
The controls are displayed on
the right of the list.
Poll interval
This drop-down list selects how
often the PC polls the controllers to refresh the displayed data. Selecting a longer period reduces
network traffic. It also allows
the controllers more time to log data and conduct the automated tasks.
Poll now
Requests an immediate data
update before the next scheduled poll.
Rebuild list
Requests not only data but module
information to completely re-construct the list.
History
Opens the history dialog that displays the data logged on the
controller.
Control panel
Invokes the control panel setup
that allows you to perform the various setup tasks.
Help
Invokes this help file.
Exit
If this dialog is the root
display, it terminates the program.
A warning is displayed if the program is assigned tasks, such as e-mail
or web updates.
