Data Logging
iNetGrow gives you two distinct ways to log data. Each method has its own advantages. Moreover, you may use both methods in your system.
Data Logging on the PC
Also known as PC data logging, this method allows you to log all system variables on the PC. The PC must be connected to your LAN and must be left on. Use the PC Options dialog to specify how often you want the data to be logged. The entire system data may be logged as often as every minute to once an hour.
Data Logging on the Controllers
Each Apopka Controller on your LAN has the capability to log data from its own modules. Use the Setup Network dialog to select and configure the controller for data logging. In this method, you may specify which named system variables you would like to log. This method is convenient in cases where few variables are to be logged, when a PC is not present on the LAN at all times, or when the Apopka is running in the stand-alone mode. The data logged on the controllers may then be viewed or retrieved using the History dialog when the PC is available on the LAN.
